Deputy Commissioner General of the Zambia Correctional Service Bwalya Kuyomba has called for peace, unity and love among members of St. John’s Congregation of the United Church of Zambia in Kabwe.
A Call for Peace and Unity
Kuyomba spoke as Guest of Honour at the congregation’s Harvest Service, held under the theme “The Law of Sowing and Reaping: God’s Harvest” and sub-theme “Sowing at Harvest,” drawn from 2 Corinthians 9:6-15. He urged members to continue promoting peace and unity, encouraging them to support one another and remain ambassadors of peace within their communities.
He also called on the congregation to stay committed to the ongoing development and construction of the new St. John’s Congregation, describing the project as one requiring the collective effort and sacrifice of every member.
Sowing Seeds of Faith and Service
Presiding Minister and Congregation Chairperson Reverend Joseph Sashi reflected on the significance of the harvest theme, encouraging members to continue sowing good seeds through their faith, generosity and service to God and their community.
